SoHoHo NY

So, I was in NY vacationing and after a day of walking around SoHo, Tribeca, Greenwich village, etc, and later around Central Park on an overcast but not very cold winter day and lunch with a friend at a decent Indian restaurant near Times Square called Utsav, I thought the time was ripe for me to make my long due visit to Saravanaas and/or Vatan, only to find both of them closed. This was around 4 - 5 pm on a Friday evening.

To find a place in New York closed is not only disappointing but outrageous! If it's the city that does not sleep, so should not it's establishments. No?

Oh well, some other time...

Close Encounters

I fly in and out of O'Hare International airport a lot and it is notorious for it's delays due to traffic and weather. Recently, many employees reported seeing a UFO at O'Hare. Here's the story:

I just couldn't hold my laughter at this:

"Funny is just how some controllers in the tower view the incident.

"To fly 7 million light years to O'Hare and then have to turn around and go home because your gate was occupied is simply unacceptable," said O'Hare controller and union official Craig Burzych. ""
